Archie's Bottle Pathways is inspired by my grandfather's innovative use of jars and bottles to line the pathways and gardens of our family croft.

In his time Highlanders were experts in using what they had as they had no other choice due to being so isolated and rural. Items were used over and over in various ways and hardly anything was thrown out.

Printed on an uncoated stock made from 100% genuine de-inked post consumer waste and FSC® certified. Packaged in a PLA compostable cello bag with recycled greyboard as backing.

Watermark NOT present on prints. Prints have a small white border around each side of the image.

Kilchoan is my spiritual and family home and I am donating the profits from the sale of these prints to the Kilchoan Shop Fund.

From the Kilchoan Shop Fund Facebook page:

"Kilchoan is the most westerly village on the UK mainland, and is accessed via over forty miles of a mainly single‑track road. Until October 2025, the village had a small shop, post office and fuel station — all of which have now closed permanently.

Since then, the nearest place for groceries or fuel has been Tobermory on Mull, meaning a £30+ ferry trip with limited winter sailings, if you want to get fuel. The only alternative is a long, costly drive down the peninsula. For many residents, these journeys are difficult or impossible. This situation is already affecting daily life and threatens the long‑term future of our village.

Tourism is vital to Kilchoan. Without a shop or fuel station, visitor numbers will fall, jobs will be lost, and families will leave. We cannot allow that decline to begin.

Local residents, working through the West Ardnamurchan Community Development Company (WACDC), have developed plans for a new shop, fuel station and EV charging point — essential services our community and visitors rely on. Funding is being sought through grants and external funders, and we’ll be sharing regular updates here as the project progresses.

A Crowdfunder will be launched in the New Year to help make this project a reality, and community support will play a vital role. This Crowdfunder is a crucial step in securing Kilchoan’s future.

Please follow, share, and help spread the word. Every share helps us reach the people who can make a real difference."
